These bags work great for long term storage. We use them for dry goods as well as for fresh food for the freezer. We like to buy food when its on sale a lot of the time its 10 for $10.00. With just my wife and I. Its hard for us to use it up before the last sale date. So GameSaver bags save the day and the food for us. When I'm storing food that has labels on the packages I put them in the GameSaver bags so we know what type as well as the Ingredients that is in the food. Some labels have cooking Instructions on them. That's a big help for someone like myself who's not known for their cooking ability. And for freshness these bags can't be beat. We have had cheese in the GameSaver bags for 4 weeks in the Refrigerator and when you open them the cheese is as fresh as the day we got it. Frozen food is the same way for freshness.
