I hunt...a lot. I fish...a lot. My Foodsaver stays plugged in year round. It's very convenient to use and easy to clean. My wife uses it for everyday needs and I use it to package all of my own game meats. By dipping meat in marinade and then vacuum sealing it, the meat is immediately infused with marinade and the whole process is speeded up considerably. I can either give it 30 minutes and then cook it or I can freeze it for next time.
