I've used the FoodSaver product for over 12 years. I replaced my old FoodSaver with the V3810 and it stoped working a month after I bought it. I can't take it back because I believed in this product so much I threw away the receipt and the box. I also bought the V3240 and it broke 20 min. after I plugged it in I returned it got another one and it broke immediately too.

Picked up this unit after our old version broke a seal that they no longer have spares for. Unfortunately the new unit would not "auto-seal" when using the vacuum, and when we manually sealed it would leak air back into the bag. We contacted Foodsaver who sent us a free replacement seal to try, but the problem continued. They then sent us a replacement Foodsaver (different model) that worked perfectly, but I forgot to emphasize our need for a black unit (all our kitchen appliances are black) - we got white. I called them again and they quickly sent a third unit in black, with prepaid return labels for both of the other ones. Despite the function problem, I give this model four stars due to the excellent service and the fact that it seems to work fine for other people. If it doesn't work to your satisfaction, they'll make it right!
